Alicia Martínez sopran

Born in Neuquén, Argentina, studied at the “Universidad Nacional de las Artes”, Buenos Aires, Argentina with Prof. Marta Blanco. After her successful bachelor’s degree (Summa cum laude) she has taken opera studies at the “Institut Theater Colón, Buenos Aires”, where she perfected with Prof. Mónica Philibert. She studied Master Liedduo Performance at the Zurich University of the Arts under the direction of Prof. Werner Güra and Prof. Christoph Berner. She became in her final exam the highest calification with distinction. Nowadays she is studying Master in Pedagogy at the same institution.

She was a scholarship holder of “DAAD”. With this posibility she could perfected in Germany in Gesang with Prof. Ulrike Sonntag und in Lied with Prof. Harmut Höll and Prof. Mitsuko Shirai. She was an active participant in various masterclasses by: Edda Moser, Raúl Giménez, Lorenzo Regazzo, Anne Grappotte, Donnatiene Michel Dansac, Angela Diel, Sophie Klussmann, among others.

A. Mozart, Buenos Aires, Argentina, organized by Young Opera Ensemble; Helene in the operetta of Chabrier, E. in the Mehkitarista School, Buenos Aires, Argentina; Catalina “La Rosa del Azafrán” by Jacinto Guerrero, Theater 25th May, Buenos Aires, organized by Guerrero Foundation of Spain.

She is the winner of competitions such as second prize in “Contemporary Music Performance” in “Zurich University of the Arts”; Prize “Best Interpretation of Argentine Music” in “La Scala de San Telmo”, Buenos Aires, Argentina; 2nd Prize of the “I. Competition, Lumen Artis’, for interpretation in chamber music, voice and piano “, City Bell, Argentina; 1st prize of the “The Competition of Young Students of Music”, Santa Fe, Argentina. She was a scholarship holder of Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Oberrheim e.V. DE.

She performs regular Lied-recitals and concerts in various concert-halls and theaters in countries such as Argentina, Chile, Germany, Belgium, Austria and Switzerland.
